Elementary Teacher (upper elementary)

Thank you for your interest in ACCS, where our mission is to equip the next generation to learn, love and lead.  We provide a highly relational, academically sound, K-12 Christian education experience to families in the Alexandria, MN area.   As a Christian educators, we  strive to live out our faith every day and build curriculum on the following values: Nurture hearts for Jesus, Educate the whole child, Cultivate caring community, Develop a world class school, and Inspire tomorrow’s leaders. 

Our mission as educators is to be life-long learners, who grow right alongside our students, while also leading them to love learning and use their hearts, souls, minds and strengths to glorify God in all they do.

The successful candidate will be an individual who firmly believes . . . 

• In the power and strength of integrating faith and Biblical principles into all aspects of education best practices -- taking into special consideration how the stages of child development inform the path from knowledge --> understanding --> wisdom.
• All students have been given gifts and talents to help them achieve their God-given potential
• All learners contribute to the learning community and process in unique ways
• All members of the community (parents, teachers, coaches and church staff) are instrumental in creating a caring community that enables students, families and teachers to thrive
• All learners need the strategies and tools necessary to strive toward becoming responsible, independent and productive members of society

Qualifications for teachers:  

• Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited
• Minnesota Department of Education teaching license required for specific assignment (can be in process of acquiring licensure)
