Athletics Coaches - All Currently Volunteer Positions

Thank you for your interest in ACCS, where our mission is to equip the next generation to learn, love and lead.  We provide a highly relational, academically sound, K-12 Christian education experience to families in the Alexandria, MN area.   As a Christian educators, we  strive to live out our faith every day and build curriculum on the following values: Nurture hearts for Jesus, Educate the whole child, Cultivate caring community, Develop a world class school, and Inspire tomorrow’s leaders. 

Our mission as educators is to be life-long learners, who grow right alongside our students, while also leading them to love learning and use their hearts, souls, minds and strengths to glorify God in all they do.

Arts, athletics and academics are all tools we utilize to disciple the next generation to know God, others and one's self more deeply and to learn the disciplines and blessings of hard work, serving others and committing to goals that require team work and grit.

The successful candidate will be an individual who firmly believes . . . 

• In the power and strength of integrating faith and Biblical principles into all aspects of athletics and the arts-- taking into special consideration how the stages of child development inform the path from knowledge --> understanding --> wisdom.
• All students have been given gifts and talents to help them achieve their God-given potential
• All athletes & artists contribute to the team in uniquely valuable ways
• All members of the community (parents, teachers, coaches and church staff) are instrumental in cultivating a caring community that enables students, families and teachers to thrive
• All athletes & artists need the strategies and tools necessary to strive toward becoming responsible, independent and productive members of society
• All athletes and artists are children of God first, members of their families second, students third and athletes/artists forth - "Put first things first and you will get both first and second things. Put second things first and you will get neither first or second things" A.W. Towzer

Qualifications for coaches:  

• Have a active Christian faith
• Experiences in coach youth in athletics
• Leadership and/or coaching training preferred

*Competition level/area - MCAC (MN Christian Athletics Conference - North Division)
